Meet the Team

Soluna is a team of clinicians and facilitators who believe neurodivergent people deserve to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Our care is community-based and mental health-informed.

FOUNDER & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I started Soluna to create a space where neurodivergent youth and young adults feel seen, supported, and empowered. My background spans pediatric, behavioral health, and school-based settings, and I'm especially passionate about executive functioning, emotional regulation, and sensory integration.

I'm also Vice President of the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association, and I often speak on trauma-informed care and the role of OT in mental health.

What I love most is helping clients uncover their strengths and feel confident navigating daily life.

SOCIAL LABS & HEALTHRHYTMS FACILITATOR

As a neurodivergent person myself, I understand the struggles of living in a neurotypical world. In my late 20s, I learned self-acceptance and practical ways to manage my own executive dysfunction and trauma with the help of a coach much like myself. That experience shapes how I support others.

For 12 years I've worked with neurodivergent teens and young adults through mentoring, executive functioning support, social groups, and community-based experiences. I also offer parent coaching.

At Soluna, I lead Social Lab groups and HealthRHYTHMS drumming experiences that bring people together through conversation, creativity, music, and games.

SOCIAL LAB FACILITATOR

Hi, I’m Jess! I have more than six years of experience supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs, with a focus on person-centered care and advocacy. I earned my B.S. and MBA from Longwood University and am pursuing my Master of Social Work at VCU. At Soluna, I facilitate Social Lab groups, creating a welcoming space for conversation, games, and connection.

OWNER, THE FUNCTIONAL NEST

I serve Northern Virginia and communities west toward the Shenandoah Valley, in person and by telehealth, and I'm excited to expand access to occupational therapy for children, adults, and families through Soluna.

My background includes pediatrics, women's and pelvic health, sensory processing, home safety, aging in place, dementia care, and trauma-informed practice. I'm also an Associate Professor and Program Director in Shenandoah University's Division of Occupational Therapy.

What I love about OT is that we look at the whole person and the realities of everyday life, not just a diagnosis.
